CM Punjab Wheat Support Program 2025 – Rs 15bn for Growers
During the wheat season 2024-25, the wheat price was just 2200 for 40kg. It was the lowest compared to the previous season. Farmers were deprived and looking for any subsidy or incentive from the government. In response to falling wheat prices, the CM of the Punjab government, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Wheat Support Program 2025.

Wheat Support Program Initiative is part of a broader Rs 15 billion support package designed to provide financial relief to wheat farmers across the province. About 600,000 farmers will benefit from this scheme.
Objectives of the Wheat Support Program
Under the Wheat Grower Support Program, around 600,000 farmers will benefit from a subsidy of Rs 5,000 per acre, distributed through the Kissan Card system. This effort not only aims to protect the income of wheat growers during a tough market season but also strengthens the government’s vision of a digitally connected, farmer-friendly future.
Nearly 50% of applications have already been verified. Farmers can now apply online for this support, making the process faster, easier, and more transparent.
